Description A Carranca is tipical brazilian piece of workmanship intented to frighten evil spirits. Just like the figures in front of old ships and gargulas.It's basically a scary face and its facial features resemble some mamal, in the likes of a bat or a monkey. An angry one, whatever it is.Carracas are made out of wood, hand painted and are available in many sizes ans shapes (always a head, of course).The one in the picture is in from my private collection.
