Description The ANDREWS CATALOG system was established by Colin Andrews in 1983 during the initial period of his research into this phenomenon. He developed the numbering system to help with cross referencing details in his database, which grew very rapidly and included reports from eyewitnesses and other field researchers. More than 1200+ different types of formations were eventually identified and analyzed.
