Artist Statement If it had not been for art, I would have dropped out of school. It was the only thing I was good at. I won my first place award in the seventh grade. Next job was portraits at Six Flags. Went to one year of college only taking art classes. Marriage and kids took up most of my time. Quit art until I found out I had breast cancer. Decided I couldn't wait. Started the pastel society in St. Louis called Gateway Pastel Artists. Help start a gallery which I have had for 8 1/2 years.
