Artist Statement I grew up in New York City and graduated from the High School of Music and Art at the age of 16, where a high quality art portfolio was a requirement for acceptance.

After graduating from Syracuse University at the age of 19 with a B.F.A. in art, I continued my education at Fairleigh Dickinson University. There I received an M.S. in computer science. Subsequently I spent 35 years as a Senior Software Engineer and inventor and was awarded numerous patents. Two years ago I became very ill and discovered I have a terminal disease and am losing my eyesight. After my hospitalization, I could no longer work long hours at a stressful job. I decided to retire. Art has become an uplifting way for me to feel productive again.
