Artist Statement Dan Tilstra, award winning watercolor artist, was born in the Pacific Northwest and has painted his way across North America, Asia and Northern Europe. While the major focus of Dan’s art is landscapes, he is known locally for his innovative set designs and has recently branched into abstract art and shoe painting. Dan maintains an active art business serving both the private and corporate sectors, and occasionally teaches an art class. Those who know Dan are famillar with his yearly Christmas cards depicting this three sons. Currently Dan lives in Florida with his wife, youngest son, and wild haired Dog Nick.
