Description Another photo from my favorite park in Salt Lake City. This shot was taken the same day as 'Cold and Lonely' and 'The Birds' This eagle is guarding the gate at an entrance to Tracy Aviary on the south west corner of the park. I loved the way that the trees framed the eagle.

Artist Statement I was born in Middlebury, Vermont and grew up on a dairy farm. I have been involved in photography from an early age and used to process my own black and white film and prints in a darkroom I built. I come to photography rightfully as both my mom and grandmother did the same. I have built and used various pin hole cameras as well as old Yashica, and Kodak medium format, 35mm, and now digital cameras. Presently I use Canon Rebel XTi DSLR and a Yashica-A TLR cameras. I carry them with me most of the time and shot most anything that catches my eye for one reason or another. I hope these images catch your eye and you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed shooting them.
