Artist Statement I began drawing at a very young age, taking whatever I could get my hands on and twisting it to suit my imagination. I’ve never been satisfied with merely rendering things the way they exist, and from this natural impulse to create came a love for concept design, comic book art, and later, computer animation.

Anyone who is familiar with my work knows I am a huge fan of fantasy/scifi art. I’ve been a follower of this genre ever since I was a child, growing up with such 80’s influences as Transformers, GI Joe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and of course, Masters of the Universe. These were properties that, at the time, were followed religiously by most children, as they elicited a keen sense of wonder and imagination. Comics were a form of art that I could always get my hands on, so of course I grew up drawing comic book fantasy/sci-fi almost exclusively. It wasn’t until I attended the Ringling School of Art and Design (2001-05) that I learned the processes of concept design and storyboarding, and how they integrate into my area of focus: computer animation.

My first official full time employer was Electronic Arts - Tiburon, where I worked on such titles as "Superman Returns: The Video Game" and "NASCAR 2008: Race for the Cup." I then moved to my current position at Sony Online Entertainment, developing the "DC Universe Online" MMORPG.
