Artist Statement I create. Always have...always will. As a student of fine arts, graphic design and photography I will forever find pleasure in creating...things! Art is such a silent but powerful adventure for me. Inspiration is everywhere!!

My paintings are a product of all the overlooked and ignored beauty that only mother nature and time can produce. Wood that has been bleached and worn away with weather...the rust that slowly forms on old metal...layers of paint that start to peel away from being exposed to the elements...they are the perfect muse for me! I see beauty in the old and give it new life. I get my kicks by arbitrarily recreating them with the use of vibrant colours and texture.

For me the process of each painting is an exploration itself. I never start a piece with any assumption of what it will look like when its finished. Each piece is an adventure and for me the destination is in the journey to its completion.

For the most part my abstracts can be hung in almost any direction. I prefer each piece to speak to the viewer and be a very personal experience. Therefore you decide which way to hang it!
