I photographed this scene along the Parks Highway in Alaska. I love using, using a digital camera with a super-wide-angle lens because it conveys a feeling of depth and distance. There is a distinct foreground, middle ground, and background. I used every photographic technique I know -- camera on a tripod; cable release; small lens aperture; careful focus -- to achieve the sharpest image possible.
If you look closely, you can see the tracks of the Alaska Railway just above the fireweed and below the trees.
