Artist Statement Andreas Barth is a photographer and a forester living in northern Sweden. He discovers the nature by kayaking, skiing and hiking. He never leaves the camera at home. I summer times he likes being with his kayak in one of the thousands lakes and rivers that are found in northern Sweden. In winter the finest places are along the east coast of Sweden, especially just before the sea frozen. It never looks the same as the day before; the nature is always changing the landscape. Also in spring time, when the ice breaks up the coast line is an exciting place. This time of the year, when the snow still is deep, skiing in some of the nearby mountains also gives good opportunities for photography.
