Artist Statement Artist: Painter&Poet. Writer. M.A. Born 1940. Mainly autodidact.
Started to paint for real 1982 - then, still within a career within the pharmaceutical industry in Sweden and Germany. From 1995 a full time professional artist.
Last year I rounded 25 years as artist - 2 main periods - 2 main picture idioms.
Period #1 Mainly in some kind of 'Existential Symbolism' with traces of surrealism -
which can be seen in 'Art Telier O´Pegrén' at www.pegren.com/art.html and the following subpages.

Period #2 Mainly my series of Zen-paintings - can be seen in 'New Art O´Pegrén' at www.pegren.com - which is what I do at present - except for some writing about
art and artists in various article and chroniclesin different magazines in Sweden.
