Artist Statement Greetings and thank you for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy looking at my work. I am currently attempting to add more works to this site, but I also have my own additional website which features most of my work as well as an artist statement.

BIO:

Born in the heart of the city, I grew up in the Mid-South area. I had a love of drawing and and a fascination with film cameras at a young age. I spent much of my free time drawing from old comic books as I collected or photographed objects with my instant Polaroid camera.

After graduating from high school in Tennessee, I moved to the Atlanta-area to follow a career in art. By my sophomore year, I had transferred to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and began my studies in Graphic Design. While there I studied Design, Painting, Watercolor, Photography , Film, and Videography.

I also gained alot of valuable knowledge of digital video while completing an internship at the local PBS affiliate (WKNO) in Memphis, TN. In May 2002, I graduated with a BFA in Media Arts, with a concentration in photography/film/video.

In August of 2002, I decided to move back to my home in the Mid-South. I will always call the Mid-South home and draw my creativity from the interesting dichotomy of the Memphis area.

My primary focus now is to continue to pursue my interests in photography, painting, and digital art. I also want to continue to cross-pollinate my ideas between the different mediums and fuse it with my take on urban art.
