Description Great Smoky Mountains Landscape Photography - Spring at Mortons OverlookSpring in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Vibrant spring greens under an approaching storm at Mortons Overlook between Cherokee NC and Gatlinburg TN. I thought this was a neat scene with a nasty storm closing in on us quickly, yet there was this brilliant hole at the end where you could still see the gorgeous clear spring day that was coming to an end. This was very difficult lighting to expose properly, but I think the end result here accurately reflects the conditions we saw. Click the image to view it large!
