Artist Statement Not long ago I was told by a fellow illustrator that i take my work too seriously and to start having fun. The idea of exploring new approaches with my art was exciting. And I decided to transform the old into something new. I began by scanning sections of my acrylic paintings of fabric still lifes. Once scanned, I rotated the section to form a geometric design and reworked the color using photoshop. I love color and the texture of the original canvas. This digital process has provided endless design combinations and surprises. Once satisfied with a design -- it speaks to me as to what it represents. My hope is to provide a contemporary color rich design that brings joy to the viewer and discovery of their own perception of images.
