Description What must it have been like for a young polynesian girl, picturing all of the possibilities of her life lying ahead, relishing the rushing of a waterfall over her form, amidst tropical flowers in a secluded setting? Can we imagine that? In the imagining of it, can we also imagine the village a short distance away, and the families there, who have known few outsiders over the course of their lives? We cannot know these things, we can only ponder them, but we can be sure that these situations did exist, and that the people who lived then enjoyed a richness of life that we can only guess at.
