Artist Statement My name is Justin Goodrich.
I suppose I have been drawing and painting all of my life but I did not want to do it professionally until I was about 13. For about fifteen years drawing and painting have been something of a symptom of the obsessive compulsive disorder. It seems that whatever free time I have it involves me working on an art project and if I am not working on one at the time I am usually thinking about it. I have not sought to remedy myself of this symptom because it seems to make me and everyone else happy. It is also a great way of expressing myself. I am often times not very articulate at all and when I really want to say something I studder and am at a loss for words. However I do not have to much problem illustrating my view points with pictures. This works great when I am moved by the Holy Spirit. While some people sing praises and wave their hands in the air, I paint and draw for God.

I also want to draw and paint professionally. It is one of the few things I can do well without thinking to much about. I really enjoy illustrating stories and I have some limited experience in Graphic Design. I would love a job in the field of animation or concept/character design.
