Artist Statement Michele Danels studied art at Parsons School of Design in New York City. She is best known for her videography (Director of Photography). Her work has been shown on A&E’s biography channel which highlighted actor and activist "Grandpa" Al Lewis.

In addition, she produced, directed and videographed Bina Shariff in the “Blood Drop” which was presented at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Some notable personalities the artist had the opportunity to videograph include; Patti Smith, Alec Baldwin, Susan Sarandon, Phil Donahue, Ani DiFranco, Bill Murray,Tim Robbins, Ralph Nader and Michael Moore

Several years ago while studying at the Brooklyn Museum she began painting in watercolor. Her paintings depict natural scenery in landscapes, and up close. She is most inspired by artist’s; Georgia O’keeffe, Vincent Van Gogh, Georges Seuret, and Gustav Klimt. In addition, Danels is also inspired by Chinese, and Japanese art and architectural design.

Some of her unacquired works are depictions of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's notable Japanese Garden in Brooklyn, N.Y. Ms Danels' paintings have been part of showings at The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and the BWAC Waterfront Art Show.

She began taking photographs as subjects for her paintings and as a result of her work to develop photographic styles and techniques for painted work , has begun to focus on photography itself as an art form. Michele has been studying the power of chakra energy centers for two decades. Incorporating the healing centers in her watercolor and photography art, now she brings you wearable art in the form of lovely high quality gemstone jewelry.
