Artist Statement The artist Willie Milton grew up in an urban metropolis and was educated on the east coast during the 60s and 70s.

As a young man, he was influenced by his father, a local poet, to become a renaissance man and explore Arts as a creative interest. This Artist went on to become a poet, spoken word performer, a Radio DJ, Events Master of Ceremonies and a Community Talk Show Host.

He mentors our youth through various program efforts and strategies whenever the opportunity presents itself.

He is also a graduate of the Hartford Seminary Black Ministers Certificate Program in the late 80s. His spiritual nature is reflected in his art work.

He presents to you here his unique art style he calls "Urban Folk". His art reflects the dignity of simplicity Use your imagination to reflect upon its content and what meaning it has for you and your life.
