Description The Imperial Palace is located on the site of the former residential palace of the successive Tokugawa Shoguns in the Edo Period. Following the Meiji Restoration in 1868, Emperor Meiji moved here from Kyoto which had been the imperial capital for more than a thousand years.

Artist Statement I was born and raised in Florida on the Gulf of Mexico, so it's only natural that I found my way to Southern California. Traveling has become a motivating passion in my photography, and I've found a desire to capture landscapes, wildlife and historical architecture from around the world.

The more I travel, the more I am amazed at the beauty and history of our world. Many things we take for granted in our lives - and I only hope my photos encourage people to stop and appreciate the wonder around us.
