Description I am largely self-taught, and I am most strongly influenced byancient design and artwork such as Celtic Knotwork, and Asianand Arabic styles of calligraphy. I started drawing in Pen andInk- black ink on white paper. I love to play with negative space, and so I love the contrast between the light and dark. Myartwork has progressed into the world of color, and I feel that itbrings a new depth to my illuminations. I call the style of myartwork Anima Mundi because I feel like it is a picture of myrelationship to the soul of the world. They are snapshots of amoving image caught in a moment of time.
