Artist Statement The biography of an artist is a rather subjective one. Ask a critic and they will tell you from conception to death, to the in betweens of their artistic growth. Ask a collector and they will describe to you the depth of meaning, the layers of potential, feelings that surmise while viewing their work. Ask the artist's kin, neighbor, or friend and they will tell you.... oh, I did not even know they painted!!!

All in all, in my opinion. Which is an opinion that is shared by very little people.... that the biography of an artist, is the time lapse in isolation. Creation is a very isolating task. I am not a performer, I am not an exhibitionist, I do not even consider myself a propagandist, nor a craftsman. But an artist is very well all of these things all done in that isolatory state of creation.

I was born in darkness. In darkness I conceived thoughts. I produced images. And then I lived the moment I swirled the medium on the canvas that became my light... that is my soul.
