Description This is my tribute to all the Filipino immigrants who have come to the US with their many dreams. The vulnerable paper boats represent the feeling of uncertainty when one relocates to a foreign land. But Liberty, emblematic of America, is dressed in 'Baro't Saya' like an 'Ina' or mother, welcoming them to their new home. She embraces a baby wrapped in the Philippine flag, holding the symbolic torch of hope and freedom. He is protected and nurtured, and with promise and opportunity on the horizon, looks forward to a brilliant and successful future here in America. Oil on Canvas11' x14'Original piece..$3000.
