Artist Statement Currently I am 23 years old and am preparing to continue my education at the University of California, Santa Cruz where I will be majoring in Art and Psychology. I have already received 2 AA Degrees in Liberal Studies and Fine Arts. I come from a troubled, and abused childhood, but have been able to overcome some of life's most difficult challenges despite, being seen as a hopeless case. This is what led me to want to study psychology. Along my educational career I began to develop a deep passion for art and have found it to be a positive release for me and it has helped me to continue to meet my aspirations. I live on a very fixed income and so I have decided to try and sell some of my work in hopes that it may help to fund some of my schooling. For those who are not interested in purchasing my art or who dislike it, thank you for taking the time to look and I hope that in some way you took something from it; whatever it may be. For me it has been about over coming challenges and proving that you can't give up on someone too quickly or you might miss the beauty that's inside of us all.
