Artist Statement NEW DRAWING STUDIO
Naughty Jesus

STOP. RIGHT NOW.
I want you to picture something in your mind - you are in a desert. Sand all around, the sun beating down, nothing but the heat and miles of endless nothing. You've been walking for days trying to find something you like in this desert. You've got water and food but what you're looking for is something special. You've found some nice things in the desert before. Some jewels here, a couple antiques worth noting there. It's been good, and lots of people come to this desert because they've realized that they can find great things here.
A lot of these valuable things people come across are on the surface - easily visible and plentiful for everyone. They really are beautiful. But you've been searching for something fantastic - something that will be different that you wish you could discover for yourself and show to others. Something worth talking about.
As you walk on, you notice something peeking out of the sand. It's shiny. You dig for a while with your hands until you realize you've found a diamond. A diamond that is so big and shiny and buried. You look around and realize you've found something great. You've found a diamond in a sea of jewels. You've found exactly what you're looking for.
Welcome, you've just found that diamond :)
My name is Chris Cummings and I already like you. You must be an amazing, awesome, and attractive person if you've found my profile. And if you heard about it from friends, you're lucky to have friends like them.
I have been drawing since I was in Elementary School. People say I have a lot of talent, and I think it's time I share it with you. I can draw everything from buildings, places, and people to animals, landscapes, and nature. I can draw anything; that's why they call me Jesus (although I can't make water into wine which is probably a good thing).
***These drawings are special because they are in great detail. Up close, you can see the delicate pen and ink strokes and dots, and you can see exactly how it was made. But from a short distance the picture looks almost like a black and white photograph, and will grab the attention of everyone who passes it.***
I know I only have a few things up on Etsy but it's only a matter of time before my gallery gets big. I'll be selling two to four pen and ink drawings a week so if you like the pictures I have up now, you're going to love what I've got planned in the future. And I'd like you to be a part of it.
Right now I am not it the position to do personal custom drawings, but I will be able to soon. The amount of initial support I get will determine how quickly I can do personal customs, so if I grow, you get the pictures YOU want hand-drawn and with lots of love.
At the moment, my email is open to those who want a custom weekly drawing. That's right - if you've got a drawing you want me to draw, send me the picture or the idea and I'll get on it. For example, if you want me to draw a building, send me a pic of the building and I will draw it as one of that week's drawings. Then you will be famous (hopefully).
