Artist Statement After graduating from the University of Colorado in 1961 and Art Center College of Design in 1965, I established my home and career in Los Angeles. In nearly a half century of experience as an illustrator and designer, I have worked for virtually every major motion picture studio and a variety of other corporations.

My career began at Twentieth Century Fox as a production illustrator for the camp television shows of the sixties, "Lost in Space," "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" and "The Time Tunnel." After working on dozens of feature films I moved to Disney as an artist for motion picture marketing. I rose to Director and finally Vice President of Creative Services for The Walt Disney Studios, spearheading advertising campaigns for scores of Disney films including such classics as "Fantasia," "Pinocchio," "The Jungle Book," "Tron" and "Splash."

In 1987 I formed Roy Alexander Illustration and Design. Inc.. My clients have since included Universal Studios, MCA Enterprises International, Sea World, The State of California, Buena Vista Pictures Distribution,The Disney Channel, and most notably, The Walt Disney Company.

My work continues to include illustration, graphic design, trade advertising, publication design, logo design and, my favorite medium, watercolor.
