Artist Statement I'm a writer by trade, but nothing refreshes my imagination like a stroll through the garden with my camera. My photos tend to resemble conversations with the natural world -- I like to get right into the center of a flower, to zoom into the texture of a leaf or a water droplet. But I'm not precious about my stuff; I want people searching for "happy images," "cheerful pictures" and "pink flowers" to land on my page. I like the idea of you picking out the field of yellow blooms because it'll work with your kitchen, or the beachscape because it'll add a meditative, aquatic touch to your bathroom decor. I like to think my work will pop in offices, waiting rooms, cubicles, dens and studies ... anywhere that needs a window into nature.
