Description Log Cabin Front Porch is an art print I created using an impasto oil technique. This technique focuses on bold brush strokes and bright colors creating a traditional oil painting look. The inspiration behind this art print is the original governors mansion built in Prescott Arizona. The structure was built in 1864 to house the governor of the newly aligned Arizona Territory. It currently sits on the grounds of the Sharlot Hall Museum.Follow my work:Blog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2016 Kirt Tisdale / TheWallGallery.com
Kirt Tisdale, Everett, Washington Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
