Artist Statement I studied in Scotland at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, graduating in 1986 following a four year degree course in Fine Art in the department of Drawing and Painting.
During the foundation year at Art College I was introduced to 35mm film photography and given the opportunity to learn developing and printing techniques. I was lucky enough to be taught by Joseph McKenzie, regarded by many as the ‘Father of Modern Scottish Photography’. I now enjoy exploring the creativity possible using digital capture.
I have a passion for infrared photography and am a member of the League of Creative Infrared Photographers. Photography has renewed my wonder in the detail found in nature - which always challenges preconceptions and constantly surprises you with its beauty.
