Artist Statement I started taking pictures at an early age. My parents were the first to indulge my fascination with photography. At family celebrations, I was let loose with my Mother’s Kodak Instamatic Camera. As my skills grew,
other family members and friends started handing me their cameras. I was honored by the trust placed in myself and my skills to capture those once in a lifetime moments. At the age of twelve, I was given a Polaroid
camera that would only take black and white pictures, the 70’s version of the Brownie. I was encouraged to take pictures beyond just family
gatherings. This is when I started discovering exciting and new facets of photography.

Since those wonderful family times, I have increased my scope as a photographer. I have done portraits, weddings and editorial work. While living in New Orleans, I worked as a photographer with The Whiz Magazine and provided imaging services for many of the local erformers. Due to hurricane Katrina, I have relocated to Phoenix and I am making a new start and a new home for my family and my photography.

Landscapes and Portraiture, both studio sessions and lifestyle candids. I am exploring Phoenix and enjoying the many opportunities for my photography. I have also donated my time and skills to the Imperial Court of Arizona, a wonderful organization raising funds for many diverse community charities.
