Description I drove down to Clermont from Frankfort one late autumn afternoon. I sketched this scene out with Sharpie on an orange primed 3x4ft canvas. It only took a couple of hours, yet it was getting dark and getting harder and harder to see. When I got home that night and began blocking in the colors, it all came together with the lights and turned into one of my favorite paintings. Plus, it is gorgeous with the stream, the black, the red, the trees, the BOURBON. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did painting it. ByDaveReed

Artist Statement Born on the banks of the mighty Susquehanna River, this graphic designer, artist, visual communicator delights in being happy and having you enjoy his art. Be excellent!
After graduating from the Art Institute of Atlanta, I continued to paint for myself while I enjoyed a career in graphic design in Hotlanta.
Back in the work force, this latest series is a serious attempt to bring some artistic attention to the powerful, historic, bourbon industry in the region.
I have sold hundreds of large, impressionistic, oil paintings and done businesses, law firms, trees, and murals. I'm a visual communicator,
authentic, playful, colorful and able to do commissioned pieces.
