Artist Statement Born on Sunday, October 23, 1983 at 3:04 PM, at Rockford Memorial Hospital, approximately an hour and half from Chicago, to the proud parents of Connie L. (Murray) Reinhardt and Paul Murray, I was brought into this world. Connie was born in Newport, Rhode Island and Paul from Batavia, New York. My sister, Becki A. (Murray) Holschuh, the oldest, residing in Rockfalls, IL where she lives with her 2 youngest daughters, Mckenna and Hanna and her husband, Dustin. My brother, Paul Christopher Murray, the middle child, resides in Fayetteville, NC, where he currently writes his own songs.
My Mother, Connie, is a supervisor at local factory called PNC. My father, who is deceased, was also an artist. Corey was raised in a little town in Northern Illinois called Oregon, from there moved to Mt. Morris where they resided for 11 years and moved back to Oregon. Later, he moved to Rockford, while mourning the loss of his grandma, he found solace in painting and found it helped his grieving process. After picking up a brush again, found his love for painting again he had his first Art Show there in Rockford. Later, moved to Iowa where he met his life partner and both moved to Florida.
I was an enthusiastic young artist. Took every art class I could manage to get in school, along with joining the school musicals my first 3 years of High school and their high school newspaper, where I became the Layout Manager and the face of the paper. In early 2001 was presented at the young artist show, where I received honorable mention ribbon for a mixed media picture of a bowl of cherries. I went on to attend college at several places. I later attended Kirkwood Community College and received my certificate in Graphic Arts.
I'm a very easy going and laid back person, very easy to get along with and i'm always enjoys a good laugh. Most would say I am a presence to be around. My talent super succeeds me and will be loved and enjoyed by all those who come in its path.
