Artist Statement Artist Statement: Magda Santiago.

My work characterizes itself by the fluidity of organic forms and a distinctive sense of color. The beauty and captivating rhythm of my surroundings, beautiful Puerto Rico, as well as my inner need to search for a connection to the Hidden Essence ("Beauty of Not Mere Appearances") in All that Is, reveals itself through the use of new forms of expression. I feel free spiritually before this power of self expression. My technique is solid but elastic, that is, it adapts itself to what the painting asks of me. Everything counts and shapes the idea/perception or emotion I need to convey.
