Description This little blue-eyed kitty doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve - he shows it boldly on his chest. He is colorful and full of swirls and flowers which characterizes the happy Mexican Folk art style. Oil pastel, permanent ink, prismacolor pencil and poster paint were used to create this cutie.

Artist Statement Paula Di Leo was born in Prince George, British Columbia Canada. While her father was in the military she and her family lived in North Africa, New Mexico, New York, and Southern and Northern California.

Much of Paula’s work had been influenced by her early travels, and the rich and colorful culture of the Arab and Hispanic community .

Paula’s favorite mediums are ink, prisma color pencil, and oil pastel. Her pieces are colorful, whimsical and for the most part figurative. Although her style may range from tight to loose in execution, the subject and vibrancy remain the same. Many of her figurative pieces are characterized by large, soulful eyes.
