Artist Statement My background as a graphic designer strongly influences the way I make art. Sometimes I start out capturing a moment, a scene or an object photographically and then pull it into my computer and transform it. Every image speaks to me and guides me. Its more a matter of letting the image tell me what it wants to be.
I use a Wacom digitizing tablet and pen that allows me to digitally draw and paint by hand so the image becomes part photography and part drawing. Sometimes I just start to create by sketching and scanning and add color and texture digitally. So its a multi-media process made up of many layers and spontaneously created.
