Artist Statement

Mexican/Spanish born 1967, studied Object and furniture design at the beauty arts national institute (School of design) in Mexico city (INBA) from 1988 to 2004, after working at several furniture factories primarily with wood and after tried several techniques and materials he specialized in plastics processes leading him into packaging development, Jorge worked for several manufacturing companies both in America and Europe for 15 years. In 2009 he returns to Mexico and starts working as an independent packaging consultant. In recent years Jorge is being a tour and diving guide in the peninsula of Yucatan in Mexico. Currently Jorge is dedicated to his artwork, his main interests are the environment and raising the consciousness on the use of natural resources.
