Artist Statement I have always loved photography and severe weather from a very young age. But, Severe Weather is my passion, I thought I would share some of the fantastic storm imagery for those with similar interests. The one problem with tornado's and severe events in general is that I often don't have much control over lighting, backgrounds (foreground objects), and various other photography aspects that you would say in a studio or in a landscape shot on a nice day. I enjoy sharing my work. My number one priority is reporting dangerous conditions on the ground to the National Weather Service (to get the warning out as Doppler is not able to see what's happening on the ground) prior to the taking a single photo and the safety of others. I will drop my camera without second thought to help someone in danger. I primarily use digital equipment as well as video for capturing severe weather event due to the limited amounts of time to record the event and it's ease of upload and final post processing but, still have a great passion for film and might use scanned 35mm or Medium Format if conditions warrant and I have more time to setup.

I received my first Camera when I was just 9 years old it was a Medium format camera upgrading to a Pentax ME Super at the age of 15 in 1981 and I am been taking photos ever since with several Canon Digital SLR's, a Canon T2 (35mm SLR), and medium format equipment.

I will continue to upload years of my better storm photography so be sure to check back often.
