Description True Story: Shortly after my arrival in Germany, I went to a beerfest with a newfound group of friends, all of whom had been living in Germany for a couple of years. Immediately upon entering the fest tent, I offered to buy the first pitcher for our group. One of them flashed me a quizzical look and told me with no amount of uncertainty that pitchers of beer weren't for sale. 'Of course they are,' I told him as I pointed to a woman carrying several pitchers to a table. 'Those aren't pitchers,' he replied, and I watched as in fascination as the woman proceeded to place a 'pitcher' in front of each person sitting at the table. 'Oh,' I said as the realization of what I was witnessing hit me. 'Ohhhh.' You couldn't have wiped the smile off my face with a sandblaster. My life changed that day, and it hasn't been the same since. Those pitchers were individual liters of beer.
Have a great day! I know I will. I've got a 'pitcher' of German beer waiting for me as soon as I finish writing this description.
