Description This painting was created by Stvmxa, and both worked on it.He wanted to mix the style of Pollock and Rothko in just one canvas. We use a technique which mix the speed of the paint impulsed by the energy of our arms on the canvas. What is called action paint. In Number 69, which is part of a series, the paint traveled through different distances and heights to reach the canvas. The motion of the arm is very important to get these effects. Every movement is calculated. There was almost nothing left to the fortuity. The motion is very rhythmic. It is like dancing to the notes of a waltz. We used curvilinear movements. The motions for moments are very calm, and sometime very energetic. We used a very reduced palette. The basic black, white and Cadmium red in its different tones. The special treatment of the red cadmium give the sense of deepness to the canvas.Number 69 belongs to the Abstract Expressionism Movement
