Artist Statement Desmond Rouse is originally from London, UK and for the past 15 years has worked as a publisher and photographer in three continents. Before moving to Asia he spent ten years in Africa where he operated a safari lodge that provided the perfect backdrop to developing his natural flair for photography. He has been based in Hong Kong for the past six years and today specialises in reportage and candid portraiture, which not only seek to capture the essence of a moment in time, but also the true nature and character of his subject.

Desmond also has his ear to the ground on events happening around town and is happy to attend any function, whether formal or informal, to record your special event.
