Artist Statement Hello and welcome!

My name is Kat, but you can call me Katie or Kate if you like. I'm almost like a time warp. I live here in the present physically but I'm living in the past mentally. I'm always looking into the past for inspiration and my artwork shows that. My photography is very nostalgic with a hint of whimsy or a feeling of fun. I have painted in the past and most of them are in a pop art, modern, and abstract 1960s mode. I like to have fun while I paint or work on a piece and hope that is seen from viewers. The icing on the cupcake is if I inspire some one in some way. Be it just to take time for themselves, have fun for themselves, or help inspire others around them.
