Artist Statement I am an artist and educator who teaches digital photography and computer graphics. Digital photography and Photoshop suit me well because of the speed with which I can make creative decisions. I love the freedom of quickly pursuing an idea. I can be impulsive without being wasteful. Perfecting a digital image may take me just as long as painting in oils, but I believe my digital images are more successful because I allowed myself to experiment more in the process. And, of course, when I do paint, I use the same knowledge about image making I gained when composing and altering photographs. I have a masters degree in painting, and I hope all that I learned from that shows in my digital work as well.
