Artist Statement My name is Alexandria and these are my paintings. I have been painting all of my life with the help of a local artist who instructed me from ages 4-10. Other than that I am largely self-taught -- working in graphite, colored pencil and oil paint. Photography sometimes, and recently, film.

I also write. I studied Continental philosophy at a college in Florida (degree in progress) and my pursuits there constantly cross-pollinate my artwork. Beyond that I am interested in global social justice activism, organic gardening, sociology, face paint, resliience, smoke signals, and hummingbirds.
