Artist Statement Marco Simoni is a native of Genoa Italy. Studying photography at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara (California), Marco specialized in travel picture stories, nature and stock photography. Currently based in Spain, working as a freelance and stock photographer Marco travels widely including Greece, Nepal, Thailand, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, and The Falklands Islands. His passion for photography and keen artistic sense allow him to capture the wonders of nature, the grace of architecture, and the character and beauty of people.

His images have been published in many respected magazines, often featured on the cover. Featured in Italian travel magazines: "GULLIVER" (De Agostini-Rizzoli), "BELL' EUROPA" , "IN VIAGGIO" (Giorgio Mondadori) and "GENTE VIAGGI" (Rusconi-Hachette).Spanish Magazines include "ALTAIR" (Grup 62), "VIAJES NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC"(RBA) and "EL MUNDO VIAJES".In England, the magazine "LADY" as well as newspapers including "THE SUNDAY TIMES", "THE INDEPENDENT", and "THE DAILY TELEGRAPH",In the German magazine, "GEO SPECIAL".

Marco's stock photography is marketed and sold worldwide by GETTY IMAGES and ROBERT HARDING. Many clients including NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, YAHOO, AEROMEXICO, CONDE NASTE, and TELEGRAPH MEDIA, among others, utilize his imagery for advertising, corporate and editorial purposes.
