Artist Statement I am Ini Brown, an African artist from Nigeria. And I have been painting for 3 decades. I have always owned a studio and I feed from my brush. I am renowned for my Water Color paintings.Though I also paint with other mediums like Oils and Acrylics etc. People feel I am probably the most versatile and prolific Water Colorist in recent times to grace the African art scene.
I know my creativity, ingenuity and dexterity when it comes to water color is breath taking. My use of Colors is rather dramatic and I believe it makes my water colors awesome. I am a Representational Impressionist artist.
My themes are mostly from everyday life around me. My inspiration mostly comes from the vast people and landscapes around me. I explore the people, their destiny, circumstances, aspirations, hope etc.
I have had over 20 solo exhibitions and 16 group shows. These exhibitions have been mostly around my Country Nigeria, South Africa and
internationally in UK., USA., France, Sweden and Germany.
