Description A light drizzle in Coupeville, a rose garden planted in the yard of a bed-and-breakfast, and an almost perfect blossom combine to make this unforgettable image. All of the drops are natural, none were added by hand or created digitally. You are seeing this rose exactly the way I found it on an early morning in August. When you add it to your collection, you will have to continually convince people that the image is real. It is.Note: This is one of two similar images. The other one is located in the Whidbey gallery.
Rick Lawler, Oak Harbor, Washington Member Since December 2006 Artist Statement I enjoy sharing my home and environs through photography. Whidbey Island and the Pacific Northwest is so filled with stunning scenery and landscapes that it takes almost an act of will to take a bad photograph.
We are recent transplants to the area, and this has opened up a whole new world of possibilities for photography. Please join me in exploring my view of this place.
My photography and writing have won awards. I'm the author of "Whidbey: My Eye" a full-color photo book about Whidbey Island, Washington. I'm currently working on a second photo book.
