Artist Statement Charlene is an avid photographer and native Oregonian. She thrives of creativity and building meaningful, collaborative connections with people. As a lifelong dancer as well as a photographer, Charlene appreciates that a photograph is like a dance step. Without life, energy and emotion, the dance step, like a photograph, will not resonate or connect with a viewer. Charlene’s photographs are created with love and/or appreciation of the subject and always with deep respect. This love and respect can be readily seen in her portrait photography as well as her event, commercial and nature images. In every image she captures, Charlene strives to create the art of love.
