Description This photo was taken as my husband and I walked 16km in the snow on 12 Dec 2009. Due to the cold temperatures that day and the snow, it was a close recreation of what our soldiers from WWII had to go through. But still no where near close enough. As we were following the marked trail we saw three re-enacters walking slowing down this tree lined area. I had to take this photograph and I'm glad I did. To me it represents a time past and gives homage to the many who were lost. You may be gone; but you are not forgotten.

Artist Statement My skills are in Information Technology, but my passion is Photography. I've taken photographs my whole life and recently I realized that it's not just about taking photographs to have but taking a moment in time and freezing it how I see it and interpret it. Most of my images are travel, animals, landscapes, city-scapes, street scenes and on occasion modeling or people photography. Rarely, you'll find a military image that I've taken and must share with the world.

I've traveled to several different locations and try to take photographs; either of the people or the place. Sometimes I get really lucky and I'll get that rare photo of a "local" working their trade. Please let me know what you think.
