Artist Statement Demetrius Elan Morgan was born in Gary, IN 1980,he attended Ralley Elementary School where he was introduced to Mr. Thomas (his art teacher and mentor). Mr. Thomas saw a gift in his student Demetrius, and open his eyes to began to master the fields of fine art, newspaper art, advertising,and illustraction. Demetrius at a young age began to create his own comic books, and storyline. Wanting to do more and give more- he began to research Stan Lei comic's and Walt Disney character's. Wanting to give the world a whole new perspective view on his style of art, he started creating his own characters that all generation (young and old, all race and ethnic background would enjoy and can relate to). His characters faces everything issues that everyone faces today. Known as the " Master of Illusion". Demetrius style of art will have you doing a double take- what you see is not always what you see. Demetrius love for art drove him to collaborate with his John Hunt and Malachi Moore Fernando Hernindez on a new book that has just been released "The Chronicles of jack Gunn". Demetrius like to have his audience attention to the very creative detail concept of his work . Each and every illustration has been methology thought out to deliver the best creative style of art. Demetrius is just warming up, look out for his next piece in a new childrens book " Leo the lion and the ant and his boys" by John Hunt.
