Description Samurai Yasuda Sakubee Kunitsugu by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861), master of ukiyo-e style of Japanese woodblock prints. Samurai Yasuda Kunitsugu is depicted in a famous attack on his enemy Oda Nobunaga at the temple of Honnoji. Here the warrior proceeds at full throttle across an interior filled with symbolically peaceful objects - the lute on the floor and an overturned box of sweets make it clear that this was not a traditional battlefield.
