Artist Statement As a degree graduate in Graphic Design, I believe I am finally putting together the loose ends of my ambition of becoming a full time graphic illustrator. With nearly 7 years of Art and Design education under my belt, I believe it would be a serious waste not to want to pursue in this type of career.

In addition, illustration has been a childhood hobby of mine, progressing into an obsession in experimental drawing and character design. But at this point in my life, I believe it is a time for professionalism, making my obsession into work that will be used as an asset to any company that requires my abilities.

Throughout my years of experience I excelled in Graphic Design, and learned a lot about experimentation in my drawing class. I developed more skills, focusing on illustration in Graphic Design briefs and competitions. I learned more advanced techniques in I.T and print-making, using these skills to produce a number of my final designs.

When designing characters for illustration projects, I discovered basic forms of animation. With a quick understanding of programs such as Flash and After Effects I began to bring my drawings to life putting a spin on the way my creations appealed to others. This encouraged me to progress in a cartoon character design, creating my own design products such as comic strips and short animations.

I believe in creating work which is of most importance and appropriateness to it’s audience, and experimenting whenever possible.
